The Project Toolbox provides free project management training resources to anyone managing projects in the development and relief sector. Learners receive a series of texts on their mobile phones over a period of 15 days. Each message introduces a tool that they can use to improve project management and increase project impact.

The Challenge

Development and humanitarian relief organizations help change the world every day – supporting communities in a diverse variety of areas that include agriculture, healthcare, education and much, much more. And, all these organizations share one thing in common – managing change through projects!
Pyramid Learning’s goal is to provide accessible, affordable and appropriate learning to any development, conservation or humanitarian relief professional that needs it.
After 10 years of dedicated work, our team (in collaboration with a large group of organizations) has achieved a great success. Over 200,000 people have accessed project management learning resources.
To be honest, however, this is not enough. We aspire to make learning available to at least 1,000,000 development, conservation and relief professionals worldwide.

APPROPRIATE – Project Toolbox introduces practical tools that learners can use immediately to improve project management and increase project impact.
ACCESSIBLE – Project Toolbox is designed to be accessed by mobile phone. Users can register for the course using their preferred application: SMS messaging, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
AFFORDABLE – Project Toolbox is FREE!
FUN – Project Toolbox messages include an engaging combination of text, video and quizzes. There are also links to additional learning if learners want to dig deeper.
All the course materials are based on the contents of the Guide to the Project DPro – a body of knowledge for managing projects in the sector. We are especially appreciative of the support we have received from PM4NGOs and Arist.
